Fan recollection
Attendee Jim Kolovos recounted the concert in an e-mail to Karl Koch:[3]
I've seen weezer 26 times dating back to my first ever show at the Nautica Stage in Cleveland, OH on August 10th, 1995. I'll never forget the day. I was a sophmore in college at the time attending Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA. We thought weezer had a great sound so there wasn't much hesitation in getting tickets for the show. THE day arrived. We couldn't have asked for better weather as there wasn't a cloud in the sky as the sun shined while Teenage Fan Club and That Dog jammed on stage (who I may add were quite excellent). We waited semi-patiently as weezer was about to take the stage. I didn't know what to expect. I'm sure at the time I just felt that this was going to just be another show that I would enjoy, but nothing too special. Weezer took the stage and tour the house down and I was hooked forever. I had the privilege of experiencing my first weezer setlist of many which opened up with My Name Is Jonas, THE best song to ever open up a weezer show to. I also was lucky enough to enjoy the performances of No One Else, The World Has Turned and Left Me Here, Buddy Holly, Undone, Say It Ain't So, In the Garage, Holiday, You Gave Your Love To Me Softly, Jamie and Surf Wax America amongst others. After the show, I bought the old school blue and white weezer shirt that I still have to this day. I was 19 years old at that time and presently 27 and I would just like to say, thanks guys for the awesome ride throughout the years, I'm ready for more.
