Featured song: "Midnight"

"Midnight" (also known as "Cardigan Disaster", though distinct from another song by that title) was the scrapped lead single for The Black Album by Weezer.

According to an e-mail sent out on October 14, 2018 to members of the Weezer Fan Club, the music video starring Pete Wentz for "Can't Knock The Hustle" was originally intended for "Midnight" (and Cuomo later confirmed in an interview that it had been intended for the 2017 Pacific Daydream song "Happy Hour" before that). The e-mail stated that "Midnight" was planned to be the debut single for the band's then-upcoming Black Album, before the unexpected success of "Rosanna" and "Africa" caused the single's release to be delayed, with the song (as well as the version of The Black Album it was set to promote) eventually being scrapped entirely.

"Midnight" was first premiered live acoustically by Rivers Cuomo at a solo show at Bottom of the Hill in San Francisco on May 9, 2018. Cuomo performed the song one additional time at another concert on May 30.

On April 13, 2020, a 24-second clip of the full song was uploaded by a user named Alek to the leak-sharing internet forum LEAKTHIS. On April 13, Alek is understood to have sold the song to an unknown buyer. The song was uploaded and shared on various Weezer fan outlets shortly thereafter.
