"Ain't Got Much Time," (previously known as "Get Me On The Line") is an unreleased Weezer song demoed during the Maladroit recording sessions.

Overview

"Ain't Got Much Time" was first performed live at the KROQ-FM "Island Invasion" in San Bernardino, CA on August 25, 2001 (the first live show to feature bassist Scott Shriner). The song is first known to have been recorded at Sage & Sound Studios in Hollywood, between August 29 and September 8, 2001. Though some songs from these sessions were released to fans online, "Ain't Got Much Time" was not among them. The song was worked on at Steakhouse Studios in late October of that year, and continued to be worked on at Cello Studios in November. The song was performed live as Goat Punishment at The Knitting Factory for the HBO show Reverb on October 24, 2001, but did not air. The song was performed at live concerts throughout November of 2001. The song was performed once during the sessions for Maladroit on January 6, 2002. The song was retired thereafter.

Lyrics

You said you'd never loved me
I said you'd never try
I can't believe this world is gonna die

And why can't you get me on the line?
I swear to you, I ain't got much time

You said you never need me
I said you never care
I can't believe this world is gonna end

And why can't you get me on the line?
I swear to you, I ain't got much time

Well then, why can't you get me on the line?
I swear to you, I ain't got much time
