"Baby" was later demoed in February of 1998 by the then-remaining members of Weezer (the band had no bassist at the time, following the departure of Matt Sharp). No version of the song would ever manifest on an album, however, and only one bootleg exists in circulation among fans at present. On December 17, 2020 it was revealed to have been written for the side project Lovely.

Lyrics

Darlin’ Caroline
Stay with me for a while
Your mama don’t expect you for a while

Let me give you a kiss
I kiss you just like this
Your mama never kissed you like this

Baby, baby
Haven’t you seen the day?
Let your flower out and in the sun

Baby, baby
You don’t have to be afraid
Ain’t nobody gonna hurt you anymore

Take off all of your clothes
We don’t have to be shy
No one else can see you, only I

Stand up in front of me
And let me see
No one else will love you like me

Girl, love is real
You dream away
