"Brady" (also known as "Intro") is a song by Southern Fried Swing.
Overview
"Brady" is one of the Southern Fried Swing songs listed in the duo's page on the Amorphous Records website. It is shown as being slated for the group's second album, however, a second album was never released, meaning this song (along with the others listed alongside it) remain unreleased (and unheard in some cases). It is dated 2000.
The song is in fact an audio collage of snippets from the original Brady Bunch TV show, arranged by Patrick Wilson and Karl Koch into a twisted story that subverts all the wholesome themes of the show. For reasons no one can recall, this collage was played before Weezer took the stage on several of their shows in the summer of 2000. Audience reaction ranged from bafflement to amusement.
The collage was released alongside material from the Summer Songs of 2000 album under the title "Intro".
Lyrics
With the songs the way they are nowadays, you can't hear the words well enough to understand that what you would have heard is something you wouldn't have understood anyway
Your mother and I don't like what just happened
Your mother like what just happened
Mike, do something!
What just happened?
What just happened?
That isn't right
That isn't right
That isn't right
That isn't right
Clowns never laughed before
And beanstalks never grew
Ponies never ran before
And beanstalks never grew
And beanstalks never grew
And beanstalks never grew
I am a little sunflower
Sunny, brave and true
From tiny bud to blossom
I do good deeds for you
Your mother and I don't like either Marsha or Greg
I don't like your mother
I don't like porkchops
I don't like apple sauce
I like Greg
I don't like girls
I like Greg
That isn't right
I don't like Greg
We're gonna be a family
That isn't right
