Personnel

Video/Audio

The music video was produced by Jerry Media and directed by Guy Blelloch. The video stars Pete Wentz (credited in the video as "Rivers Wentz") of the band Fall Out Boy and also features YouTuber Krispyshorts and Instagram model Romane Recalde. In a March 2019 Billboard interview[1], Rivers Cuomo confirmed that the video had originally been filmed as a music video for the 2017 Pacific Daydream song "Happy Hour". According to an e-mail sent out to members of the Weezer Fan Club, the video was, prior to being reworked for "Can't Knock the Hustle", intended for the song "Midnight", which was originally planned as the debut single for the Black Album, before the unexpected success of "Rosanna" and "Africa" caused it to be pushed back, before being scrapped entirely.

Lyrics

Hasta luego
Hasta luego
Hasta luego adios

My manager's slacking so I gotta’ move quick
I'm lacking in natural gifts
I'm an ugly motherfucker but I work hella’ harder
And you can write a blog about it

Can't knock the hustle
Can't knock the hustle
Leave a five star review and I’ll leave you one too
Can't knock the hustle
Hasta luego
Hasta luego
Hasta luego adios

The future's so bright I gotta’ poke my eyes out
Running up my credit cards
Sellin' lemonade by the side of the road
You see it all from where you are

Don't step to me
Don't step to me
Don't step to me
Bitch

Now you can criticize me for anything
I ain't like them other boys
Higher education is the key to escape
But I never learned to roll a joint
