Today in Weezer History: 1/4/2001 - 8th day of work on The Green Album. Today in 2001 Mikey worked very hard whipping the bass parts of 9 of the songs into shape, an all day process. Also on this day, Ozma was announced as the 1st opening act on the upcoming Yahoo! Outloud Tour. The main support act had already been determined to be the Get Up Kids. Both bands were chosen by an weezer.com fan poll, and it worked out well, as The Get Up Kids had come in at #1 most votes, and Ozma was #2.
