Blue Album rehearsals continue
On this day the band started going to a vocal coach for a daily appointment in the early afternoon, to work on singing technique and voice training. After that it was on to their usual full band rehearsal at Cole in the late afternoon-evening. this daily schedule would continue through 7/31.
Shown here is a surviving 'cheat sheet' of Buddy Holly lyrics, written by Matt who was working on the rather complex task of playing the bassline in that section of the song while trying to remember the lyrics to sing the backups.
Note that the footage in the Weezer DVD's "19naughty3" segment that shows the band doing vocal excersizes with a casio keyboard were filmed around this time, at Cole Rehearsals in Hollywood.
