weezer plays the jon stewart show

fresh off the triumphant release of the undone - the sweater song single, weezer makes their second nationally televised tv appearance on the jon stewart show.

the boys rocked the house down playing undone from their eponymous debut album. rivers seems to be talking about meeting ace frehley's ass in the improvised intro to undone. top fbi agents are working on finding out exactly what it is brian and matt are talking about during this show, and all findings have been declared classified. the undone performance was excellent as well as unexeptional, nothing of great interest occured

during the closing credits, weezer played what was to be their second single, buddy holly.

with this, their second nationally televised tv appearance behind them, weezer then went on to play a series of dates opening for live

Today in Weezer History: 10/23/1994 - Weezer plays the Jon Stewart Show. Back in '94 Jon Stewart was just getting started and "The Daily Show" didn't exist yet. His "Jon Stewart Show" was brand new and was a late night talk show. Weezer makes their second nationally televised tv appearance on this day in NYC, playing Undone. Some say Rivers seems to be talking about meeting Ace Frehley's ass in the improvised intro. During the closing credits, weezer played what was to be their second single, Buddy Holly, and played it extra fast in an attempt to get to the song's climax before the credits were over at 1 minute 30 seconds. Their strategizing paid off, though this shortened second performance is much harder to find on youtube today than Undone, which itself is usually taken down by Viacom pretty fast.
