Today in Weezer History: 11/17/2001 - Weezer plays in Boise, ID at the Bank of America Arena, on the Extended Midget Tour, with Jimmy Eat World and Tenacious D supporting. After an odd day off in Boise wherein Pat went with Dan Hadley (lighting guy) and Karl to the opening night of the 1st Harry Potter movie "with about 600 grade schoolers (in full costume mostly) and their grandparents", it was time for what was only the 2nd show Weezer had ever played in Boise, the first being in the summer of 2000. Fan accounts of the day recount a huge amount of crowdsurfing an moshing on the floor. Like most shows from 2000-2005, very few photos have ever been seen larger than what at the time was an acceptable resolution for computer screens, but what today wouldn't even look ok on a phone. Fortunately all the digital photos (with a few tragic exceptions) taken by Karl from 2000 onward have been preserved at full resolution on updated backup drives.
