Today in Weezer History: 11/22/1996 - Weezer plays the Phoenix Concert Theatre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. 17 years ago we were playing the well loved Phoenix, with Placebo opening the show. Exactly 17 years later, today in fact, we are not far north of Toronto, playing the Rama Casino, but unfortunately Placebo is not here with us this time. Weezer has played Toronto many times over the years and from their first visit in '94 enjoyed immediate acceptance and very devoted fans there, with the shows always being crazy. The setlist survives, but no photos of this show have turned up to date.
