...MB '05 Tour: Day 65: Summersonic Osaka Soundcheck/rehearsal
Today, after some more wandering around and getting lost in the city (and a repeat visit to Mos Burger for those so inclined), we got back into the tidy little vans and went over to the Osaka World Trade Center site, the annual home of the Summersonic Festival in Osaka. Everything was in a frenzied state of last minute preparation, but they seemed to have it under control as usual, with armies of tech dudes and workers scurrying about. The band had about an hours worht of soundcheck time, which was good because it gave them a chance to get back in the groove after 2 weeks of no shows.

Everyone is pretty stoked to be playing with Oasis for the next 2 days, for the first time in Weezer's career. After the fortuitous weez/Oasis meeting back in June in Paris, its doubly exciting to actually share the stage now...and to get stuck with their breakfast bills at the hotel!
