Petra Haden Sings: The Who Sell Out is the fourth album by Petra Haden released under her own name. It is an all-vocal interpretation of The Who's 1967 album The Who Sell Out. It was released on February 22, 2005.

Overview

The album was inspired by a suggestion from Mike Watt, bassist from the San Pedro, CA punk band The Minutemen. Watt explained this in the album's liner notes:

A few years ago I had this idea for Petra. She has a beautiful voice and when me and d. boon were boys we just loved The Who Sell Out (our favorite record by them) so much that I thought it'd be a trip to hear how she'd interpret it.
- Mike Watt[1]
