Pony Eyelashes~ was an infamous, yet beloved poster on several Weezer message boards. They were known to post absurd, long-winded and misspelled narratives with no punctuation usually in multiple colors and complete with animated gifs. Pony Eyelashes~ was a member of the online community during the Weezer Nation era. During the first incarnation of weezer.com message boards Pony Eyelashes posted under the user names 'August 2, 2002' and 'hi! link plz~'.

Notable contributions to the community

  • Coined the catch phrase "Hi Y'all LOL~"
  • Created a popular misspelling of "River": "Ricer". As well as many other variations on Rivers Cuomo such as "Riven Crawford", "Rive Cumell", "Rick Commadore"
  • Extensive use of the tilde character (~).
  • Created a thread which acted as his personal webpage complete with a blog, photo gallery and guest book. The thread was apparently created so that he wouldn't have to pay for his own web space. The guest book linked to a thread on the Vanessa Carlton boards titled "Vanessa Carlton Fans Keep Out"
  • Created an absurd Choose Your Own Adventure erotic fantasy tale which hi-jacked dozens of threads to tell it's story.
  • Known for an avatar of a green and pink pony which stood and danced forward and backwards.
  • Created the first (and only) 3D thread which required the use of 3D glasses to view its visuals and bizarre hidden messages.
  • Created a legendary tale of a secret and unreleased Weezer album called Beeswax, a concept record of immense proportions that was religious in nature and it's musical content was so powerful that the FBI had no choice but to take an interest in Weezer for national security reasons.
  • Contributed the song "Barnyard" for a boardie tribute to the Beach Boys Smile album using Audacity. The music sounded like a distorted MIDI with the sounds of people having sex replacing the animal sounds on the Beach Boys version.
