"Purple Flowers" is a song by Rivers Cuomo, originally demoed in contention for Weezer's fifth album, Make Believe. It was released as part of the demo compilation Alone IX: The Make Believe Years in 2020.

Overview
"Purple Flowers" is first known to have been demoed by Rivers Cuomo at Cello Studios in December of 2003. The song underwent several iterative rewrites throughout the year under multiple titles, ultimately culminating in the song "Last Chance," which was completed by Weezer during the final Make Believe sessions at Grandmaster Recorders in Los Angeles, but did not appear on the final album.
The 2004 demo of "Purple Flowers" was listed in a spreadsheet assembled by Cuomo in 2008 dubbed "The 4 and 5 Star Demos of Rivers Cuomo". The song was first heard by fans when it was made available for purchase as part of the digital compilation Alone IX: The Make Believe Years on November 22, 2020.
