"Records" is the second track and lead single from Weezer's 2022 EP, SZNZ: Summer. It is the second overall single released as part of the band's SZNZ series of EPs.

Overview

On October 12, 2021, Rivers Cuomo revealed on his Discord server that he intended for "Records" to be released as the lead single for SZNZ: Summer. Initially, the song was planned to release the same day as SZNZ: Spring, but the song "A Little Bit of Love" was pushed as a single instead.

A 15-second clip of the song was teased on June 14, 2022 as reward for solving that day's Weezle word puzzle. On June 16, days ahead of the song's official release, the song was made available to hear through the mobile app Human Record Player, developed by Brian Moore, which requires the user to physically rotate in place (simulating a turntable) to play the song. The same day, the song was added to the virtual radio station "Rock & Royale" within the video game Fortnite.

An official remix of the song featuring Israeli musician Noga Erez was released on August 31, 2022. A mash-up of the song by remix artist Titus Jones which features audio from Rihanna, Lana Del Rey, and Nirvana (who are each mentioned in the single's lyrics) was uploaded to the band's official YouTube channel on October 3, 2022.
