Songs of Inaudible Trucks and Cars is a collection of demos and live material that was collected to be Ozma's first LP release. The money made from CD sales funded the recording of Rock and Roll Part Three. Despite being a part of the band at the time of release, keyboardist Star Wick only plays on three songs on the album.[1] The songs "Shootingstars", "Natalie Portman" and "Baseball" would later be finished and recorded for Rock and Roll Part Three, and the songs "Maybe in an Alternate Dimension" and "Flight of the Bootymaster" would also appear finished on The Doubble Donkey Disc.
The album was originally released on January 2, 1999, on hand-burnt CDs with printed black and white album art. In late 1999, an abridged version of the record was sold through MP3.com called Songs of Audible Trucks and Cars, the name chosen due to a character limitation.
The album's name comes from the Cuatro y Ocho song, "Trucks and Cars".

First Strike EP
The First Strike EP is made up of the John Gaudesi-produced studio recordings later featured on Songs of Inaudible Trucks and Cars. Recorded between April and June of 1997, the EP wasn't printed in large quantities, leading to estimations that only a handful of cassettes were made. Very shortly after its conceptualization, the EP was reworked into Songs of Inaudible Trucks and Cars.[2][3]

Rerelease
On August 22, 2020, the band re-released Songs of Inaudible Trucks and Cars through Bandcamp. Later, on December 1, 2021, the compilation would be physically re-released on cassette by the Indonesian label Ororo Records. This release also included a sticker and two buttons, with the option to buy a T-shirt as a bundle. A remastered version of the album was also made available on Bandcamp in March 2025.
