Hey look who's here
This place is not my home
A change has got to come
Face hot with tears
How was I supposed to know
The ABCs of love
Salvation lies within
Don't ask me what I did
When God made her
He threw away the formula
We fell in love on a Sunday
By Monday morning I drifted away
All I want is to see her
All I want is to reach my weekend woman
Just can't seem to get back there
I'm getting stuck in the weekday traffic
All I want is to see her
All I want is to reach my weekend woman
Get in, get out
No time for poetry
You can't change people's minds
I'll meet you there
Your walls are painted green
Our vines have intertwined
Was this your parting gift?
Black eye and bloody lip
Ten years from now
I'll still remember every word
We fell in love on a Sunday
By Monday morning I drifted away
All I want is to see her
All I want is to reach my weekend woman
Just can't seem to get back there
I'm getting stuck in the weekday traffic
All I want is to see her
All I want is to reach my weekend woman
I still believe your beautiful lies
You don't have to die to go to heaven
I still believe your beautiful lies
It almost makes me feel young again
We fell in love on a Sunday
By Monday morning I drifted away
All I want is to see her
All I want is to reach my weekend woman
Just can't seem to get back there
I'm getting stuck in the weekday traffic
All I want is to see her
All I want is to reach my weekend woman
All I want is to reach my weekend woman
All I want is to reach my weekend woman

Overview
"Weekend Woman" is a reworking of the song "Burning Sun," a 2000 Weezer demo originally written in consideration for the band's eponymous Green Album. It is speculated (though not confirmed) that Ric Ocasek, who produced both The Green Album and Everything Will Be Alright in the End (henceforth abbreviated as EWBAITE), suggested that Cuomo revisit some of his Green-era compositions for inclusion on EWBAITE, and that "Burning Sun" was one such song (the track "Lonely Girl" from EWBAITE was originally written during the Green era under the title "Homely"). "Weekend Girl" was demoed by Cuomo as early as late 2013, though it did not make the cut for EWBAITE.
"Weekend Girl" was revisited a few years later for Weezer's 2017 album, Pacific Daydream. Cuomo has stated that the lyrics are not about anyone specific; they are lines from different sources but were connected in a way that suggests a story about a single relationship.[1] Cuomo has also stated that he tried to curb his use of the word "girl" in his lyrics (the word does not appear at all on Pacific Daydream), hence the change from "Weekend Girl" to "Weekend Woman." The bridge for "Weekend Woman" is taken from another Cuomo demo, "Beautiful Lies," originally written in 2015. A demo for "Weekend Girl" was added to the digital compilation Alone XI: The EWBAITE Years on November 27, 2020, with additional demos being released as part of the compilation Alone XIII: The Pacific Daydream Black Years in 2021.

Lyrics
I died for her
Why can't she be the one
To set my mind at ease?
I smiled for her
But now the burning sun
Is setting on the seas
Ain't nothing I can do
No spells that I can use
But if my dreams came true
I'd hold her every night
We fell in love on a Sunday
By Monday morning I drifted away
All I want is to see her
All I want is to reach my weekend girl
Just can't seem to get back there
She's getting lost in the light refracted
All I want is to see her
All I want is to reach my weekend girl
I fell for her
And got down on my knees
But that was not enough
Ain't nothing I can do
No spells that I can use
But if my dreams came true
I'd hold her every night
We fell in love on a Sunday
By Monday morning I drifted away
All I want is to see her
All I want is to reach my weekend girl
I just can't seem to get back there
She's getting lost in the light refracted
All I want is to see her
All I want is to reach my weekend girl
Ain't nothing I can do
No spells that I can use
But if my dreams came true
I'd hold her every night
We fell in love on a Sunday
By Monday morning I drifted away
All I want is to see her
All I want is to reach my weekend girl
Just can't seem to get back there
She's getting lost in the light refracted
All I want is to see her
All I want is to reach my weekend girl
My weekend girl
All I want is to reach my weekend girl
My weekend girl
All I want is to reach my weekend girl
