Today in Weezer History: 10/23/1994 - Weezer plays the Jon Stewart Show. Back in '94 Jon Stewart was just getting started and "The Daily Show" didn't exist yet. His "Jon Stewart Show" was brand new and was a late night talk show. Weezer makes their second nationally televised tv appearance on this day in NYC, playing Undone. Some say Rivers seems to be talking about meeting Ace Frehley's ass in the improvised intro. During the closing credits, weezer played what was to be their second single, Buddy Holly, and played it extra fast in an attempt to get to the song's climax before the credits were over at 1 minute 30 seconds. Their strategizing paid off, though this shortened second performance is much harder to find on youtube today than Undone, which itself is usually taken down by Viacom pretty fast.
