The Album 5 Demos are a collection of songs written between 2002's Maladroit and 2005's Make Believe. The first batch of demos, with some being recorded before Maladroit's release, reflect the band's earliest attempts at the fifth album as well as letting other members sing songs, increase use of keyboards and organs, and reflect a songwriting style by Rivers which focuses more on storytelling and less on his own feelings. In an AIM chat with Rivers Cuomo on January 8, 2002, Cuomo described the sound of Weezer's fifth album as "a combination of The Green Album and Pinkerton, if that's possible! And some Maladroit. But really it's a new different style." more
