Title: Weezer (The Blue Album) (Deluxe Edition)
Track listing: Disc 1
Disc 2
Notes: 2004 Japanese deluxe reissue as part of Universal Music Group's "Deluxe Edition" series of reissues. Includes an additional disc titled Dusty Gems & Raw Nuggets which features b-sides and previously unreleased material. The packaging is a large gatefold style case that unfolds into four panels, with two of them housing the discs themselves and one housing the album's booklet. Alongside the booklet is a small three panel paper fold-out advertising other releases from the "Deluxe Edition" series. The entire case is housed in a partially clear sleeve that contains the "Deluxe Edition" branding and the release's track listing. This release is identical to the standard United States release (B002139-02), with the addition of an oversized obi strip that wraps around the clear sleeve and an additional booklet that contains a Japanese review of the release and Japanese lyrics. The obi strip is extended on the back side to replace the entirety of the back cover with a version of the track listing in Japanese. The obi also folds out to reveal an additional outer panel, while the insides of the obi are blank. The letter listed at the end of both disc's matrix numbers seem to vary between releases. The original mix of "Susanne" and and unknown mix of "You Gave Your Love to Me Softly" were intended to be a part of this release as Japanese bonus tracks (even to the point of being listed as so at certain online retailers), but they were scrapped before release.[1] |
