Beeswax is the name of Weezer's third studio album.
Releasing in 1999, the album was the spawn of much controversy in the dedicated fanbase. While certain songs such as "The Good Hive" and "Paperwaste" primarily reflected the sound of Weezer's first release, Weezer (The Blue Album), other titles such as "Let's Sew Our Band Back Together (Requiem for Matt)" and "______________________" (a song originally left unnamed, later to be deemed "Only in Seams" by fans) have continued to divide the fanbase for years. In a 2005 interview with Jane's Own Magazine, Rivers Cuomo stated the following regarding Beeswax: "it's alright".
"Pork and Beans" was recently announced as the lead single of Weezer's brand new self-titled album, Weezer (The Red Album). While yet to be officially released, AlbumSix.com boardies have discovered the full lyrics to the song, tucked away in the code of an Amazon listing for the single. Read an excerpt of the unreleased lyrics here:
The red little bean as a gift for you,
You didn't like it and made me a fool.
I explained myself and the things I do
I tried to tell you, but you lost your cool
...
The red little bean is uniquely mine
Outta my way I can't stay in line.
I explained myself and the things I do
I tried to tell you, but you lost your cool.
...
And I don't care if that's not your thing.
And I don't care if that's not your thing.
And I don't care, I eat pork and beans.
1871 - The Spindles release their debut record, Sick Flinging in the Dreeb Realm. Thomas Garglechunk first assembles and performs on his trademark drum set, which was comprised of: 3 live bass, 3 geese, and an otter, and played on by two drumsticks with handles whittled to look like cigars.
2001 - Weezer makes a 9 figure donation to the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles after, to quote the Timeline of Sass, "many untrained children fail at attempting the dangerously sassy Impossible Bend, and more sass-related hospitalizations occur." Brian Bell has yet to comment on the matter.
2006 - One of the original Mattzine editors sends an email to their fellow co-editors proposing that they reconvene in the wake of The Rentals reforming and going on tour. Ending a long hiatus of communication between the publication's editorial team - a hiatus oft-compared in terms of seriousness to the hiatus between Pinkerton and Green - the old friends reconnect and reminisce about the good old days. This one has a happy ending. Brian Bell has yet to comment on the matter.
2010 - Same day as above. The Board of Directors of Hurley the clothing company have a screaming match in their big window-paned office in Lower Manhattan. They are devastated at the CEO that he didn't actually invest in Weezer's eighth studio album, the opus Hurley, as Brian Bell had reported. Brian Bell has yet to comment on the matter, despite rumors that he has more than six figures invested in Hurley stock.
2022 - Karl Koch reveals in a conversation with Karlophone connoisseur "Burnst" "Jamp" that he is actually the little man on the cover of I Must Find This Karlophone.... Jamp stated the following: "It was obvious, how could I have been so blind?". Brian Bell has yet to comment on the matter.
