2011/12/07 A Poll. A Boot. A Book. A Band.

Yesterday, everyone who is signed up to go on The Weezer Cruise in January received a song poll, so they could cast their votes on what weezer songs they wanted to hear most on the Cruise. They are already guaranteed to watch the band play the whole Blue and Pinkerton albums, but theres plenty more songs that will be needed to fill out the 3 main weezer performances, and the people's choices are going directly to the band to help them get the setlists together! Every commercially released weezer song ever, including the rarities, is up for consideration. One more reason to get on that boat if you can!

...if you havent checked the weezer store recently, take a look because The 8/19/2011 Seattle dual memories show (Blue+Pink+Blast Off!) is now available on CD and download! and as always, a sweet li'l pile of my own photographs from the show are included digitally - all of which are exclusives - this particular pix will not be used on the website! Bootlegs in the pipeline: Doheney Days, Thackerville OK, and Chicago Riot Fest!

...speaking of Memories, follow our Facebook Page for periodic "Weezer Memories Dispatches", which consist of a photo or scan from both the old days and more recent times, each with a little story attached to it, by myself. I try to dig up the goods for ya.

...As Rivers has reported on riverscuomo.com, The Pinkerton Diaries have finally arrived, and they are now getting prepared for shipping out to all those who have ordered it! If you havent ordered or arent familiar with this very special book/cd project, heres the 411 you need to know.

...Pat reports much progress on his long stalled new The Special Goodness album, saying "its 75% finished". I have heard a number of the new tracks and I must say Pat has broken through to some really cool new levels. The lesson here is take your time and the quality will be self evident.

...For those who couldnt attend, here is a video and a photo gallery from the super cool event on November 5th at Burlington, VT's Maglianero Cafe and JDK Gallery, that celebrated the life and art of our dearly departed friend and second weezer bassist Mikey Welsh.
