The Rentals appeared as a musical guest on an episode of Pierrot Le Fou in August of 1999^[1]. The band performed, perhaps among other songs^{[clarification needed]}, "Friends of P." According to YouTuber Joshua Brooks^[1], this was the first live performance for the band following the departure of Cherielynn Westrich.^{[citation needed]}
