Overview

Rivers Cuomo is first known to have demoed "Happy Grunge" at a recording studio in Detroit the day before a concert on the Yahoo! Outloud Tour. The song was attempted as a full band at Monster Island Studios in Washington, D.C. on May 27, 2001 during a stop off on the band's Hooptie Tour, though the song was, reportedly, not finished to anyone's satisfaction and was not among the tracks released to fans on weezer.com. No demos of the song exist in fan circulation.
