Influence on Weezer

When asked in a 2005 interview to identify an album that changed his life, Weezer bassist Scott Shriner mentioned Electric Ladyland:

First time I heard it - when I was a kid - it kinda really scared me, some of the sounds on it. I was really young - like way too young to really be listening to it. But I kinda grew up with it, and I kinda came in more and more, and it really stirred me in a huge direction.

Weezer recorded their debut album in Electric Lady Studios, built by Hendrix only 10 months before his death.
