Taylor Hawkins was the drummer and secondary vocalist for rock band Foo Fighters. He joined the band in 1997, and recorded eight studio albums with Foo Fighters from 1999 to 2021.
Weezer connection
Pat Wilson's group The Special Goodness opened for Foo Fighters in 2003, as detailed here by Karl Koch. Weezer toured with Foo Fighters twice, once in 2005 for the Foozer Tour, and again in 2018 for the Concrete and Gold Tour.
Hawkins died on March 25, 2022. [1] Weezer paid tribute to him in a post to their social media with photos from their various shows together. [2] and Pat Wilson performed with Foo Fighters as part of a tribute show for Hawkins in September, 2022.[3]
