DC Demos
From Weezerpedia
The DC Demos were from a Weezer recording session on May 27, 2001 during a stop on the so-called Hooptie Tour. A day of studio time was booked at Washington DC's small Monster Island Studios, and thirteen recordings were churned out, of which ten were completed. The purpose of these demos was to send a recording to a host of candidates for producer for the next album. Sessions were already loosely scheduled for later in 2001, but as it turned out, the boys eventually chose to self-produce the record. Several of these demos were released in mp3 format on the band's official site, and many of them were re-recorded a few weeks later during the BBC Sessions.
