"Gravity Will Bring You Down" (also known as "Gravity," formerly "Supergirl" and "Gravity's Gon' Bring You Down") is a song by Rivers Cuomo, demoed in contention for what would eventually become Weezer's ninth album, Everything Will Be Alright in the End.

Overview
"Gravity Will Bring You Down" was, at one point, part of Ecce Homo, Rivers Cuomo's earlier draft of the album concept that would eventually morph into Everything Will Be Alright in the End. In an Ecce Homo draft document included in the Alone XI compilation, notes about the song were listed in relation to the album's main character, Sebastian. "Gravity" is listed as part of the album's first act, with the note: "Talking to himself. Schizochronicity rooted in the death of his father?" The song's lyrics are accompanied by additional descriptive notes:
(age 20): a. Talking to himself in his pod. b. lack of faith in his intellect and talents. c. Had a famous father who died? Who somehow failed? Came up short? d. Flight of Icarus. e. Sebastian’s father, Daedalus
"Gravity" was described by fans who heard it at fan focus groups in the years prior to the recording of EWBAITE, but was not heard widely until Cuomo made it available for purchase on riverscuomo.com as part of the digital compilation Alone XI: The EWBAITE Years. It also appeared, for a time, in the fan-curated compilation The Best of the Demos, briefly sold on Cuomo's website.
