Warlock was a metal cover band from Connecticut, formed in 1984 by Rivers Cuomo, Justin Fisher, Leaves Cuomo, Adam Orth and Matt Hayes. The band performed at least one show with Fury in 1985.[1]
Background
Rivers Cuomo, the drummer of the band, started learning the drums in 1982.[2] Warlock was likely started at some point in the summer of 1984, after the formation of Rivers Cuomo's first band Fury.[3][4] The band comprised of most of the members of Fury, with the addition of guitar Adam Orth and vocalist Matt Hayes.[5] While Fury covered only Kiss songs, Warlock covered metal songs by different artists. Songs known to have been covered included "Living After Midnight", "Victim of Changes" and "Breaking the Law" by Judas Priest,[5] as well as songs by Iron Maiden and Mötley Crüe.[6]
