Jose Galvez recounts writing the song at lunch at La Salle College Preparatory with fellow bandmate Ryen Slegr. Slegr sometime prior had announced he would make a song titled "If My Amp Had Wheels" after having carried a large "4-ton" Gallien-Krueger amp. The name Xochitl, (pronounced sochi), was the name of a girl both Slegr and Galvez knew and were friends with. Galvez also recounts this being the first Ozma song Daniel Brummel co-wrote.

Lyrics

If my amp had wheels
I would go real fast
And if my amp had speakers
Then we'd really have a blast. (really have a blast)
Yeah

If I had some glue
I would stick to you
And if I had more love
Then I'd give it all to you. (all to you)
Yeah

Xochitl, Xochitl
I'm so glad you're Xochitl
Xochitl, Xochitl
I'm so glad you're with me

(ooh ooh)
(ooh ooh)
(ooh ooh)

If my amp had wheels
I would go real fast
And if my amp had speakers
Then we'd really have a blast. (really have a blast)
Yeah
Xochitl, Xochitl
I'm so glad you're Xochitl
Xochitl, Xochitl
I'm so glad you're with me

(ooh ooh)
(ooh ooh)
(ooh ooh)

-clapping-

Xochitl, Xochitl
I'm so glad you're Xochitl
Xochitl, Xochitl
I'm so glad you're with me

Xochitl, Xochitl (Xochitl you left me)
I'm so glad you're Xochitl (I'm sorry I'll always love you)
Xochitl, Xochitl
But please don't ever leave me
