Patrick Edwards is one of the founding members of the band Ozma.

Biography

Patrick Edwards is a founding member of and the original drummer for rock band Ozma. It was because of his mother's bookshelf that the band's name is Ozma.^[1] Edwards's mother is also given a special credit on the band's debut, Rock and Roll Part Three, for putting up with the band's rowdy nature while in her home. On Ozma's second album, The Doubble Donkey Disc, both the Edwards parents are given a special thanks for the construction of the "Emerald Fortress", a name the band had given to the practice space the parents had built over their garage. Edwards joined Daniel Brummel in the band Daniel Brummel and the Contraband to provide percussion on Brummel's cover of Weezer's Pinkerton-era b-side "Devotion." It is likely that Edwards played a major role in Ozma's breakup in 2004. Shortly before the breakup, Edwards had gotten into multiple physical altercations with the other band members.^[2] After the split, Edwards formed the band Acute, which only released one album in 2007 before disbanding. Today, Edwards is married and has a daughter.
