"I'll Stay Right Here" is a song written by Rivers Cuomo in 1997. The song is often erroneously referred to by the name of the similarly-titled track "Stay There" (RC# 224). Rivers recorded a demo of the song on his DA-88 machine, and later recorded it for a Homie rehearsal tape sometime after, but neither recording has circulated. The song was played at Homie shows in Boston in November of 1997, for which fan-recordings exist in circulation.

Lyrics
Sometimes I wonder if things ever change
Or do they go ‘round and circle the drain
Am I improving or staying the same?
Am I advancing or playing a game?
I could go somewhere, but I’ll stay right here
Sometimes I feel like I’ve found someplace new
Celebrate the surroundings, checking out the cool view
Why does it feel like I’ve been here before?
How did I get in a room with no door?
Well, I ain't gonna change
