In 2020 the band was not able to perform live concert venues do to the COVID-19 global pandemic. As a result, the Jason Cropper Band would perform on various virtual concerts and events, as well as Cropper's weekly virtual stream of The Golden Hour.

In 2021, musician Dan Foltz joined The Jason Cropper Band as a percussionist and keyboardist.

The Jason Cropper Band performed in front of a live physical audience for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic on June 25, 2021 at the Fireside Lounge's Al Fresco Dining Park in Alameda, California.
