Overview
"Let's Sew Our Pants Together" was, according to the Catalog O' Riffs, written near to the formation of Weezer around February or March of 1992. It is first known to have been performed live at 8121 Club in Los Angeles. The song continued to be performed at various Weezer shows throughout the spring, and was one of three songs recorded for the band's first demo in May of 1992. According to Karl Koch's article in Weezine Issue #3, the recording from this demo is the same that appears on Weezer's second demo (The Kitchen Tape). The song is not known to have been performed by Weezer after the summer of 1992.
Rivers Cuomo played the song over the video streaming platform Ustream on August 19, 2011.
A demo of the song was released on the digital compilation, Patrick & Rivers on December 9, 2020.
