Overview
"Too Good for Me" is the final track on the master reel for The Kitchen Tape, Weezer's second demo, but is a Rivers solo recording and was not part of the album's release. It is stylistically similar to some of faster, more abrasive material from The Kitchen Tape. It is listed, possibly erroneously, in the Recording History as "I Said So".
The song remained unheard by fans until 2020, when it was released as part of the digital compilation Alone IV: The Blue-Pinkerton Years, which featured Rivers' 1993 Monterey Jack cassette.
Three additional mixes of the song were released as part of the bundle Alone XI: The EWBAITE Years. These are digital remixes of the 1992 recording, done by Rivers some time between 2011 and 2014. Mix 2 is seemingly just a new mix of the song, while mix 3.2 features a revised structure (extending the first chorus to a double chorus), a smoother ending, and a brief, new overdub of a flubbed vocal from the original. Mix 3 is the lead vocal from mix 3.2.
