Weezer performed at Sonic Recording Studios in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on June 20, 1997 for Philadelphia rock radio station WPLY's "Y-100 Sonic Sessions". The recording of "The Good Life" from this performance was later included on Y100 Sonic Sessions Vol. 1, a compilation album released by the radio station.
