Fan recollection

Attendee Paul Crewdson recounted the concert in an e-mail to Karl Koch:[2]

It was the first of three times I have seen weezer play.

I've seen them play with all three bass players now.

I saw Weezer play with Face to Face, and No Doubt at the Palace of Auburn Hills in Auburn Hills, Michigan sometime in '96 or '97.It's a big place and unfortunately my friend Chris and I had upper bowl seats. Most people rag on being so far away from the band in an arena show, but they had(and still have)the power to rock people way on the other side of any arena.

—Paul Crewdson, e-mail exchange, 200?
