Loved by Millions was a Toledo, Ohio band from the late 1980's[1]. Scott Shriner was a member from 1987 to 1988. This was Shriner's first professional work recording and performing as a musician.
Overview
Loved by Millions is a big thing, and it's kind of what got me on my start in music.
Shriner joined the band as a replacement for E.J. Wells. He played bass on the band's 7" single "Animal Behavior," released in 1987. He reunited with Wells in June of 2009 for the song "Something in the Graveyard."[2] Shriner reunited with the rest of the band for a tribute concert after Wells passed away.
The Toledo Blade described Loved by Millions as a new wave band in 2022[3] Shriner called them a mixture of "alternative music and R&B" in an interview for the 2024 tribute concert.[4]
