- May 14 - Weezer performs unannounced at the launch party of the T-Mobile Sidekick LX on the lot of the Universal Studios in Los Angeles, CA. The "Kids/Poker Face" cover is played for the first time in public.

- July 15 - A demo of "Everybody Go Away" leaks online.
- July 21 - The compilation CD Guitar Center: Fresh Cuts Vol. 4 is released including the previously unreleased demo of "Everybody Go Away".
- July 24 - Weezer performs at the Jisan Valley Rock Festival in South Korea. The songs "The Girl Got Hot", "I'm Your Daddy" and "Can't Stop Partying" are played live for the first time.

- August 16 - "(If You're Wondering If I Want You To) I Want You To" is put on Wal-Mart's online store for sale prior to its designated release date. After being bought and shared all over the internet, the song is removed.
