Overview
The song was first mentioned by Rivers Cuomo on April 13, 2022 via his Discord server, specifically noting he believed the song's bridge would give listeners "major goosebumps".[1] Shortly after, Cuomo uploaded a clip of the song's ending to his TikTok. [2]
A 22-second clip of the song was made available on June 13 as reward for solving the day's Weezle word puzzle.
A demo of "What's the Good of Being Good" was leaked online in December of 2022.
