THIRD ALBUM UNDERWAY...

...in a room where a ton of great records were made, weezer finally got started today on their third album. After much tinkering, a nice drum sound was achieved, and the guys dove into multiple takes each of "Knock-down Drag-out", and "Don't Let Go". The idea is to get near perfect recordings of the drum and bass parts, so that the songs can then be re-layered with additional various guitar, vocal (and whatever else) tracks over time. The band played the songs as a full band, with the amplifiers set up in separate side chambers, so that their loud sounds wouldnt "bleed" into other microphones. All in all an excellent start!
