Today in Weezer History: 1/25/2001 - On this day in 2001, weezer was in Los Angeles at work on the Green Album. "...recording day 28...the army marches on...today the day started with Brian laying down another batch of backing vocal tracks. This was followed by several hours of some more random overdubs and minor patches and fixes and stuff. Then some parts of "O Girlfriend" got some last minute re-working, so the bass and guitars had to be changed one more time on that track. Finally Rivers recorded some more lead guitar tracks. Rivers's terrible sore throat got no better today. He continues to be barely able to speak, and singing is totally out of the question. Various lead vocal parts remain unfinished, so this really puts the completion of the album in jeopardy. He is taking medicine, but so far no improvement. the waiting continues. More business meetings and such were peppered throughout the day as well. Not to mention some strange photography, including the Mikey and Rivers "High School Science Teacher" series..." - karl, writing in weezer.com
