Today was a loooong day. We assembled in the lobby in Finland at 5:30 AM, went to the Vassa Airport, got on a fight to Helsinki. Landed in Helsinki, switched to another flight to Stockholm, Sweden. Went to Stockholm and met out tourbus, at last. boarded the bus and then had a 4 hour drive to where the Hultsfred festival was happening. We get to the festival and it feels like November, very cold and raining. How do all those people in the audience survive these things? I guess "beer" could be an answer... Iggy Pop played before weezer, and once again was the living embodiment of all things loud and crazy. Good job Iggy!
Anyway the guys set wasn't till Midnight, so for several hours it was Swedish Press time. Nord(?) Mtv, ZTV (for which Pat and Mikey insisted i sit in with them), and several print interviews as well. Then off to catering, where there was some very curious pasta sauce going on, kind of bologna flavored. Firp...Anyway the festival was a tremendous sucess for the guys, once again the audience was loud and proud, and everyone had a great time on stage, playing a thundering weez-set as the rain poured down!
